Today I realized that I hadn’t updated my static pages which are the ones that are options for the website like “About”. Rather than “Posts” for the Blog these are located in the “Pages” section in the dashboard.
This refers to the actual URL in the address bar for the website. You need to configure it to be Search Engine Friendly.
This setting is located under settings, permalinks. I’ve set mine for domain/year/month/day/title.
Out of the box Wordpress is SEO ready. This refers to a lot of things but requires a plugin. So I’ve installed a plugin so that I can easily control page titles.
Now to configure so the URL’s are search engine friendly..
Well I must say it only took a couple of hours to install and figure out Wordpress. How easy and user friendly for simple sites is that?
Looks like we’ll have to offer these for more simple site development.
